We know that God loves us; We show it by being loving, honest and respectful.
At St. Andrew’s Primary School, RE is taught through a combination of weekly lessons and R.E theme days, making up a minimum of 5% of our curriculum time.
Each Class studies Creation, Incarnation and Salvation from ‘Understanding Christianity’ which we use as a resource. They also study other units from the same resource, making up a total of no more than 2/3 of their R.E curriculum. Children also learn about other world views and planning for this is taken from ‘Discovery RE.’ The RE Curriculum map below outlines what each year group is studying at any time.
Our teaching of RE is supported by ‘The Bridge Youth Project’ who make regular, planned visits to classes to enrich their learning.
