Invitation to Zoom with Mrs Procter.
The Zoom meeting this week will be on Wednesday 15th July at 2pm. You will be sent a link by email. Our special guests this week will be some of your friends who have been at school. They are looking forward to seeing you!

What an exciting term!
We have worked hard and made great progress in our learning since September. The term was rounded off with lots of Christmas celebrations including our fantastic play, The Inn-spectors. We made amazing Christmas cards for our families.
We have all settled into the new school year well.
Our topic this term is Great and Ghastly Events. We have studied some Intrepid Explorers (Christopher Columbus, Captain Scott and Neil Armstrong). In the photo below we are participating in a Conscience Alley – should Captain Scott go to the Antarctic or not?
We enjoyed experiencing the snow.
We enjoyed a visit from some animals from Longleat. We learned about their natural habitats, their favourite foods and how they are being protected from becoming extinct. Who would have thought that a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach’s favourite food is human eyelashes!
This is Diego. He enjoyed meeting us as much as we enjoyed meeting him!
As part of our RE day exploring the question, Why do Christians celebrate Christmas? We re-enacted the Christmas Story. We filmed it and gave it to Class 1 to help them to learn more about the true meaning of Christmas.
We had a visit from Mrs Carpenter too. She started getting ready for the Christmas dinner in November!
As part of our Great and Grizzly events topic we thought about World War 1. We went to our Church to remember those people who fought inWorld War 1 and died from our Parish. We had our Class Worship there too.
We have had a great start to Year 2. We enjoyed visiting Riverbourne Farm. We spent time gettimg to know the animals and learning about them.
We took part in the drama of Open The Book. We dressed up and participated in telling the story during Worship. It was fun and helped us to understand the story.
We have enjoyed exploring these websites as part of our Literacy, Maths and Topic work. You can enjoy them too.(Click the pictures to go to the website)
